This policy explains what information Souvenir City Chicago (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit https://www.souvenircitychicago.com or shop with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Order and account details. Name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, and the items you buy. If you create an account, your login details and order history.
  • Payment details. Card and bank details are handled by our payment processor (WooPayments, operated by WooCommerce/Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
  • Shipping details. Your name and address are shared with the carrier and our shipping tools (ShipStation, Shippo, and the carriers themselves) to deliver your order and provide tracking.
  • Messages. Anything you send through our contact form, email, or phone.
  • Usage data. Pages viewed, products viewed or added to cart, device and browser type, approximate location, and referral source, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).

How we use it

  • To process, ship and support your orders, and to answer your questions.
  • To prevent fraud and keep the site secure (including Google reCAPTCHA on forms).
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it (Google Analytics, Jetpack).
  • To measure and run advertising (Google Ads and Meta/Facebook advertising tools). These tools may use cookies to show you relevant ads on other sites.
  • To send order updates. We only send marketing email if you have opted in, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

We share data only with the services needed to run the store: our web host, payment processor, shipping and tracking providers, email provider, analytics and advertising platforms named above, and professional advisers. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We use cookies for the shopping cart, login sessions, analytics and advertising. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies in the banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice at any time in your browser settings. Details are in our Cookie Policy.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as required for tax and accounting purposes (generally seven years). Account data is kept while your account is open. Analytics data is retained according to each provider’s default settings.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to stop sending you marketing. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; we do not sell personal information. Visitors from the EU/UK have rights under the GDPR, including access, correction, deletion, restriction and portability. Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
